Is it uncomfortable?

The short answer is yes. As with any procedure there is some discomfort involved, luckily an average tattoo removal session only lasts about 5-10 minutes so you won’t have to worry about being uncomfortable for long.

Additionally you are also free to use topical anesthetic to numb the area and greatly reduce the discomfort involved in the procedure. These products can be purchased over the counter at most drug stores and also in the studio during your consult. If you chose to use numbing creams please make sure to read and follow the instructions fully to make sure you get the most out of the product. Or feel free to contact us anytime if you would like our advice on applying the products for best results.

How do I book my first session?

We require a $100 deposit to hold your appointment time. This deposit is held until your last session or refunded back to you if you’ve booked a following session but no longer need it.

Your deposit will be lost if you don’t show up for your appointment or you fail to give us at least 24 hours notice that you need to change your appointment.

Once you have sent your deposit you can call the studio at 5194399191 to book in a session.

We do of course accept deposits via e-transfer, if you would like to send a deposit this way feel free to email us at legacytattooremoval@gmail.com and we can send instructions on how to do that. please DO NOT send e-transfers to us without first contacting us for instructions.

Of course if you would prefer to book a free in person consult first before sending your deposit you can do that anytime by calling the studio.

How many treatments Will I Need?

There is really no way for us to tell you how many sessions a tattoo can take to remove as it differs for every tattoo and person. There are way too many variables to be able to even give a rough estimate. 

What we can tell you is that an average tattoo in an average location on the body with a person of average health, can take 6-10 sessions for 70-90% reduction (what is referred to as complete removal) and 2-6 sessions if you are looking to cover the area with new work. You can check out the laser home page for before and after photos of tattoos that we have treated, under each one will be the amount of sessions that tattoo took to get to its current state.

Tattoo removal is a long process. Since there is at least 8 weeks between treatments it can take time to remove a tattoo. The positive to that is that you don’t have to come in every week and pay for something, so there is generally more than enough time to put money aside for your next treatment. 

Will it scar?

As long as proper aftercare if followed you will not have to worry about any additional scarring from the tattoo removal process.

That being said, please keep in mind we can not give you back the skin you had before you were tattooed. Getting your tattoo in the first place can be damaging to the skin, as tattoos themselves are generally pretty big injuries, but it can be hard to see the damage done because of the ink over top of it. As this ink fades out you may start to see some of the scarring due to the tattoo process, most of the time these marks are very limited and not noticeable to anyone.
